- Produce commercial site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Design subdivisions and manage site development.
- Visit job sites to ensure construction matches the design.
- Consult with clients and work with city and government organizations to gather necessary information for design.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, typically ranging from 1-2 weeks in duration.
- Participate in the process from initial surveying to final permitting, which can take up to 5 months for large projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field.
- 5+ years of design experience in commercial land development or site design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience in site plan design, stormwater management, and drainage calculations.
- Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- EIT certification required; PE preferred.
- Ability to understand contours and grading plans.
- Experience with detention calculations.
Work in a vibrant environment on suburban commercial site plans and residential subdivisions across IA and surrounding states. The team consists of 8 PEs, 5 Land Surveying crews, and Landscape Architects, totaling 40 people.
