Job Description This role is responsible for the management and stewardship of all water and wastewater systems across multiple manufacturing sites. The position involves overseeing the full life-cycle of water systems, from design strategy to deployment, including ongoing maintenance and improvement. It provides technical and program support to determine the most appropriate use and treatment of water as a resource, ensuring the production of high-quality food in a safe and efficient manner. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, operations, and technical individuals, collaborating on projects and continuous improvement initiatives that require project planning and coordination of people and resources. Responsibilities
- Steward water processes, ensuring quality and managing personnel engaged in using and reusing water as a food ingredient, drinking water, and utility resource.
- Oversee all infrastructure and equipment for water conditioning, utility water, and wastewater treatment, maintaining water quality specifications and preferred water-related technologies for plant processes.
- Champion ongoing research for improvements in cleaning and sanitation technology and contribute to the coordination and preparation of proposals, presentations, and purchases related to water projects.
- Manage compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting requirements, audits, sampling programs, and data tracking.
- Consult with multidisciplinary project teams to review technologies, make informed purchase decisions, develop specifications, and evaluate vendors for water and glycol applications.
- Perform assessments, design calculations, data collection, and data analysis to support water programs and document workflows and solutions.
- Responsible for new process deployment and scale-up projects, and participate in new construction projects or remodel activities for conformance with specifications related to water projects.
- Serve as a site-specific start-up and troubleshooting resource.
- Expertise in water resources, water treatment, and wastewater treatment.
- 2 years of experience in water/wastewater management.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with project planning and coordination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
