Civil Engineer Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer Designer who will prepare site development construction drawings and manage engineering design considerations for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure. The successful candidate will also handle permit applications for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Utilizing AutoCAD, you will design and model underground utility infrastructure, providing technical input and guidance during client conversations and multi-discipline design meetings. You will analyze data and existing site information to assist clients with site selection and ensure the quality of work performed by other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare site development construction drawings and engineering design considerations for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure.
  • Manage permit applications associated with residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to design and model underground utility infrastructure.
  • Provide technical input and guidance during client conversations and multi-discipline design meetings.
  • Analyze data and existing site information to assist with site selection.
  • Review work of other team members for quality assurance.
  • Complete assigned duties and projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT certification or ability to receive EIT within 6 months of employment.
  • 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D designing land development projects.
  • Experience in site development, civil engineering, and permit applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in project management and construction planning.
  • Experience with plan & profile design of water/sewer lines and power/communication duct bank design is a plus.
  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced, high-achieving team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job-related manuals and documents.
Work Environment

This is an in-office position located in Charleston, SC, Savannah, Statesboro, and Myrtle Beach, focusing on land development and civil site design. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
