Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and having a Professional Engineer certification is preferred. This role demands strong proficiency in CAD and Revit, along with 3D modeling skills. The candidate must have a solid understanding of engineering analysis tools and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively. Additionally, strong client-facing, relationship-building, and client management skills are essential, along with in-depth knowledge of Building and Mechanical Codes and Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with proven success.
  • Design and implement Fire Life Safety systems.
  • Utilize Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Building Automation Systems.
  • Conduct energy audits in accordance with ASHRAE levels 1-3.
  • Engage in renewable energy design projects.
  • Commission and design HVAC systems.
Essential Skills
  • 10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer certification preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD and Revit.
  • In-depth knowledge of Building and Mechanical Codes and Standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • CxA certification.
  • CEM certification is nice to have.
  • Experience with Equest software.
  • 3D modeling skills are a plus.
  • Renewable energy design experience is a plus.
Work Environment

The work environment includes utilizing advanced technologies such as Revit and Equest for project design and implementation. The role may require passing background and drug tests. The workplace supports strong client interaction, requiring excellent relationship-building skills. The typical dress code is professional attire.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
