Job Description

We are seeking a Survey Assistant to join our field crew for a seasonal position. The successful candidate will assist in collecting data, staking out boundaries, and performing general on-site duties. This role is primarily based in the metro area, focusing on construction sites for residential developments. You will be part of a team of 4-5 members and contribute to various aspects of the surveying process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data collection and staking out boundaries on construction sites.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of 4-5 individuals.
  • Perform general on-site tasks as part of the survey crew.
  • Support the surveying process in the metro area, specifically on residential development projects.
Essential Skills
  • 0-1 years of experience in surveying or related fields.
  • Basic understanding of construction and land surveying principles.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a survey technician or on construction job sites is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or surveying equipment is advantageous.
Work Environment

The role involves working outdoors 90-95% of the time, requiring comfort with various weather conditions. Typical work hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 or 6:00 PM, depending on job requirements. The team convenes at the office in Plymouth before traveling in a company truck to job sites across the metro area and suburbs. This position involves working on job sites that require heavy earthwork.

This is a Contract position based out of Wayzata, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
