Now Hiring Electrician in Hanover, PA Great Starting Pay 5p-5a 4x4 schedule Job Description The Electrical Technician will provide support to plant operations through troubleshooting, performing maintenance, repairing, and installing equipment, electrical systems, and components. Responsibilities Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical systems and devices within the plant. Possess knowledge and understanding of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs). Assist in new installations and upgrades of plant equipment. Conduct process checks as required. Perform regular safety inspections to ovens. Work with and lead outside contractors as needed to complete projects or various plant maintenance functions. Keep work area safe, clean, and organized. Assist and support other production floor operations as required. Keep Manufacturing Supervisors and Manufacturing Managers informed of operational status of equipment. Complete all administrative tasks, including log books, data entry, and record keeping in proper order. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Essential Skills 6 -10 years manufacturing experience. Ability to work overtime or weekends if necessary for projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). Mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of variable speed drives (programming and set-up). Experience with high pressure hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience with automated material handling systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Experience troubleshooting magnetic controls (e.g. switches, relays, and solenoids). Knowledge and experience terminating transformers and electric motors. Understanding and knowledge of OSHA's electrical safe work practices (e.g. Lock-out/Tag-out, NFPA 70 Electrical Code, NFPA 79 Machinery Standards). Knowledge of basic troubleshooting and calibration for electronics. Basic knowledge of servo and stepper motors and drives. Experience with installing and fashioning electrical conduit and installing electrical wireway and associated hangers. Able to use DVM, analog type multi-meter, megger, oscilloscope, and soldering station. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or Journeyman's card preferred. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience programming and setting up PLCs (Logix 5000 based systems, SLC 500, PLC-5). Experience with HMI Programming and set-up (Rockwell PV and PV+, Automation Direct, C-More Touch Panels). The work environment is not climate controlled and consists of two areas for 2 and 3 piece can manufacturing. The Maintenance Team includes Line Maintainers and 1 Electrician on each team/shift. Uniforms are provided along with safety glasses, and there is a safety toe shoe reimbursement. Employees must provide basic tools, with assistance offered for purchasing additional tools. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $79040.00 - $79040.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
