Role Definition

Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, focused on growing the continuous power gas business in the Western United States.

The Caterpillar Electric Power Sales Teams are responsible for leading all efforts related to sales of new products (Gas/Diesel Standby & Prime Power), aftermarket sales and switchgear sales. This role will support their efforts and ensure proper execution of resulting orders, enabling us to achieve close customer relationships, dealer development and market leadership. Our team consists of dedicated territory managers, key account managers, switch gear territory managers, aftermarket territory managers and energy technical professionals.

What You Will Do

  • Build customer relationships with key customers

  • Provide customer interface point for complex projects

  • Manage all facets of complex projects across Caterpillar facilities, ensuring coordination of schedules, scope, connectivity and completeness

  • Identify gaps in product offerings and provide voice of customer back to product groups

What You Will Have

  • Creates opportunities to educate support teams on client priorities.

  • Differentiates assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks.

  • Evaluates past decisions for insights to improve decision-making process.

  • Assesses and validates decision options and points and predicts their potential impact.

  • Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives.

  • Uses effective decision-making approaches such as consultative, command, or consensus.

  • Ensures that assumptions and received wisdom are objectively analyzed in decisions.

Industry Knowledge: Level Working Knowledge:

  • Discusses industry-specific flagship products and services.

  • Demonstrates current knowledge of the regulatory environment for industry segment.

  • Currently works with a major industry segment and associated functions and features.

  • Travel Requirements: 25%-50%

  • This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office. Business needs may require weekend scheduling.

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
