Summary of Duties:

The Commercial HVAC Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for both accurately estimating commercial HVAC projects and managing them through to successful completion. This role combines technical cost estimation with hands-on project oversight, requiring strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates from concept through basic design for project bidding and planning purposes.
  • Review cost records, ensure accurate allocation, and update organizational cost standards based on market conditions.
  • Track market prices for construction materials, equipment, and labor to maintain competitive estimates.
  • Review project documentation, visit sites, and gather data to determine scope and requirements.
  • Select, measure, and analyze key metrics to prepare reliable forecasts and adjust estimates or schedules as needed.
  • Conduct risk analysis and evaluate vendor/subcontractor offers, maintaining long-term relationships with key partners.
  • Create and present project and cost reports to executives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and adjust project schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and make informed decisions to keep projects on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams to maintain workflow synergy.
  • Perform quality control throughout project development to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Be available for additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business management or related fields.
  • Leadership experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Professional Management Professional certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License to include active liability insurance.
  • Successful completion of required criminal record and motor vehicle record background checks.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

  • Ability to operate office equipment such as fax, phones, computers.
  • Ability to travel to construction, job and warehouse sites
