Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and maintain skill certifications to properly use forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks, as well as tilt tables, weight scales, battery exchanges, and stretch wraps.

  • Perform routine pre-operational checks of forklifts daily and clean them as needed in accordance with the checklist.

  • Locate and distribute materials to departments as directed.

  • Conduct inventory cycle counts as directed.

  • Accurately prepare, input, and process various reports, paperwork, or other administrative duties in a timely manner either manually or using computer programs such as TMM, Word, Excel, and email. Properly document all material movements.

  • Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and report deficiencies or problems to supervisors or purchasing departments.

  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in forklift operation and certification.

  • Experience in inventory management and cycle counting.

  • Ability to perform material handling and movement.

  • Competency with computer programs such as Word, Excel, and email.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Compliance with EHS Policy and applicable regulatory and company EHS rules and requirements.

  • Prompt reporting of any unsafe conditions or practices.

  • Attendance at scheduled EHS trainings.

  • Adherence to safe work habits, including correct techniques for lifting and bending, proper ergonomics, and wearing personal protective equipment as required.

  • Strict adherence to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.

  • Compliance with Product Safety and Quality standards, GMPs, IPC product defense standards, and all Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.

Work Environment

The work environment can be hot in the summer and cooler in the winter. The position requires a 24/7 rotating schedule, specifically on the 2nd shift from 6:55 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcdonough, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
