Marine Electrician - $32/hr + $178/day per diem for travelers Job Description Join our team as a Marine Electrician, where you will be responsible for installing, connecting, and performing operational testing of shipboard electrical systems and components. Your expertise will contribute to the maintenance and operation of electrical power and lighting systems, sound-powered phones, electric heat, and ventilation equipment within a shipyard environment. Responsibilities Familiarize and comply with EPISM requirements. Understand and practice ISO9001-2008 standards. Follow the procedures of Work Packages. Accomplish Standard Items 009-16 and 009-36 without supervision. Conduct electrical tests with proper technical documentation. Read and interpret government drawings. Complete job assignments with all required documentation and provide necessary information for report writing. Maintain productivity in the absence of a supervisor. Identify and minimize unnecessary costs. Have knowledge of Work Authorization Forms (WAFs). Distinguish color code phasing, including orange, brown, yellow, black, and white. Essential Skills Experience with shipboard electrical systems. Proficiency in using voltmeters and ohmmeters. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Capability to work independently and manage tasks effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with Navy standards and shipyard practices.
