14093 - Solar Project Engineer (remote) - Juno Beach, FL Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions Work Setting: Remote, with travel to the client's office in Juno Beach, FL periodically Required: Engineering and project management experience (5 years); Bachelor of Science in Engineering. (electrical, civil, mechanical, aerospace or chemical). Preferred: Engineering and project management experience on utility scale solar projects; Engineering and project management experience in the following fields: DG/commercial solar; Other technologies in the power industry (Wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, transmission, etc.); Experience outside of the power industry (aerospace, civil/stormwater, etc.). Responsibilities: Manage 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects; Coordinate with diverse project stakeholders such as environmental, procurement, and project managers for both early stage and construction; Apply value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems; Mobilize teams of engineers to achieve business objectives; Perform engineering assignments of a complex nature requiring the application of engineering skills; Plan and organize projects and apply highly specialized knowledge in carrying out the work; Provide technical support to lower level professionals.
