Clarificion from the agency
(1) Arkansas Army Nional Guard (AR ARNG) Technicians; (2) All members of the AR ARNG, (3) Individuals who are not members of the Nional Guard but who are eligible to acquire membership in an available and compible military grade for excepted technician positions. (Upon selection, must be a member of the AR Army Nional Guard).
Duties
Help
(1) Planning: Plans use of subordine workers, equipment, facilities, and merials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis. Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by the supervisor. Coordines work with supporting or reled work functions controlled by other supervisors. Determines the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. Redirects individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticiped work. Informs the supervisor of the need to revise work schedules and re-estime labor and other resources. Participes with the supervisor in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimes, and recommendions as to scheduling projected work.
(2) Work Direction: Assigns tasks to be performed based on readiness and explains work requirements, methods, and procedures. Investiges work reled problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes. Implements corrective actions within their authority to resolve work problems. Recommends solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements, and work operions directed by other supervisors.
(3) Administrion: Plans and establishes overall leave schedules. Determines training needs of subordines and arranges for accomplishment. Sets performance standards, and makes formal appraisals of subordine work performance. Inities recommendions for promotion or reassignment of subordines. Assures, tools, special tools, test measurement and diagnostic equipment, personal protective equipment, repair parts, petroleum, oils and lubricants, and other meriel are available when needed.
4) Performs the non-supervisory work of the function, as needed, such as performing maintenance and/or inspection tasks on equipment, equipment operions, or other non-supervisory functions.
(5) Ensures employee compliance with standing opering procedures established for the activity. Ensures use of quality conformant products through compliance with established merials shelf life programs. Ensures all aspects of Force Protection to include physical security, facility and vehicle key control, property accountability, access control and employee protection in accordance with established policies and regulions. Ensures established procedures to account for all real property, installion property, MTO&E (Modified Tables of Organizion and Equipment) property, TDA (Tables of Distribution and Allowances) property, and installed equipment loced or assigned to the facility in accordance with ste and federal regulions and policies. Ensures subordines are trained, qualified, and equipped with proper personnel protective equipment, environmental mediion equipment, and merials. Ensures th employees wear approprie safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.
(6) Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluions, inspections, mobilizion and command support exercises. May be required to perform such additional duties as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operion, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or to serve as a team member on boards to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. May serve as a member of the Command Maintenance Evaluion (COMET).
(7) Performs other duties as assigned.

IMPORTANT NOTES (AS APPLICABLE): Upon selection for this position, individual must possess or initie a Nional Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigion. A favorable determinion based upon investigive results is mandory for this position. Failure to meet these requirements will result in terminion of employment. A pre-placement physical is required if not already current. Upon selection, must complete mandory Full-Time Support (FTS) Training the Professional Educion Center (PEC) within six months of assignment (if applicable, training coordined by the supervisor). Individual must meet all military requirements of the position without creing a grade inversion, as determined by the Human Resources Office (HRO). Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (Grade Inversion). Enlisted members currently a higher grade than allowed by the position (see Military Grade Requirement above) may apply; however, they must administrively reduce prior to appointment and provide confirmion of the reduction to HRO.

Qualificions
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience or training which demonstres knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventive maintenance tasks, and can use common tools and equipment in the line of work.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstres the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience th provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstres the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communice knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situions.
