We're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. You'll have the opportunity to use your vast experience in the industry and apply it to solving today's challenges.

As part of our team, you'll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design.

While working in this role, you'll be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls, prepare load analysis for different stages of design, oversee the preparation of drawings detailing system design, prepare basis of design reports, prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms, design grounding and lightning protection, design redundant electrical systems, mitigate hazardous area concerns, select equipment and fixtures for use in the building, coordinate design with engineers and architects of other disciplines, and facilitate construction administration.

This position typically includes limited travel commitments in support of project designs to visit with clients and develop an understanding of their needs as part of a broader design team. This position emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and teamwork. As a part of the Jacobs team, you'll also have access to our worldwide network of engineering excellence and technical delivery experts to further your knowledge of the industry and grow in your professional development.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
  • United States Citizenship
  • At least 10 years' of experience working in a corporate engineering environment
  • Strong mentorship focus to develop future engineers
  • Strong technical focus in the Architectural Engineering space
  • Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, and remaining dedicated to teamwork

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Exposure to medium voltage (and high voltage) designs
  • Exposure to SCADA design
  • Background in sales pursuits and early game concept development
  • Exposure to mission critical concepts for healthcare, datacenters, and/or transportation
  • Exposure to federal design standards such as the Unified Facilities Criteria, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Defense, and adjacent sectors
  • Past performance in quality control review roles
  • An appreciation for travel in support of projects and sales pursuits as a subject matter expert (scalable to your life)

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

140,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

190,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $140,000.00 to $190,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
