SUMMARY
Central Recycling Services, a company within the BSNC family is currently seeking a qualified Equipment Operator in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley. The Equipment Operator will operate heavy machinery for scrap metal processing projects, as well as for other projects/contracts/objectives, as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operates construction, excavating, and loading equipment and heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, compactors, scrapers, loaders, backhoes, etc.
- Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from job sites.
- Operates machinery used to open trenches and expose utilities.
- Inspects, fuels, and performs routine vehicle maintenance prior to beginning shift.
- Consults machine specifications, and safety procedures for specific tasks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Extensive knowledge of machinery operation and capabilities.

- Must be able to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.

- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
- Willing to travel.
DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- This position does perform DOT "safety-sensitive" functions (as defined under 49 CFR Part 40) and is subject to all federal requirements related to Department of Transportation requirements for those performing, or on-call to perform, "safety-sensitive" functions. Employees must provide a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
