Contract Specialist IV
DESCRIPTION
Summary
Savvee Inc. is seeking to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Specialist IV to play a key role in shaping high-stakes contracts and driving operational excellence in support our federal client remotely. Applicants must be knowledgeable in federal and commercial contracting principles, cost and price analysis, and full lifecycle contract management.
Essential Functions
Acquisition Planning & Market Research
Collaborating with project teams and Contracting Officer to determine contract type and solicitation strategy.
Evaluating set-aside options aligned with socioeconomic and small business goals.
Preparing pre-solicitation documentation and posts to the System for Award Management (SAM).
Solicitation Management
Drafting and issuing Requests for Proposals/Quotes and amendments.
Coordinating with project teams to address vendor inquiries.
Receiving, recording, and reviewing proposals/quotes for responsiveness.
Source Selection & Evaluation
Supporting technical evaluation panels and source selection activities.
Assisting with best value tradeoff evaluations and negotiation preparation.
Performing cost/price analyses and documenting source selection decisions.
Collecting certified and other-than-certified cost/pricing data as needed.
Contract Award & Administration
Preparing award packages and announcements for Contracting Officer signature.
Maintaining electronic contract files and resolving payment issues.
Reviewing payroll reports against DOL wage determinations.
Issuing general correspondence and responding to contract administration inquiries.
Modifications & Closeout
Processing contract modifications, evaluating contractor proposals, and documenting negotiations.
Preparing modification documents for Contracting Officer approval.
Preparing and submitting contract closeout documentation.
Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required Education & Training
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), including completion of 24 semester hours in Business, which may include any combination of the following fields:
Accounting
Business
Finance
Law
Contracts
Purchasing
Economics
Industrial Management
Marketing
Quantitative Methods
Organization and Management
Minimum Experience & Skills Required
Five or more years of Federal Government Contracting experience with the service requirements
Must have the ability to obtain the client's clearance level
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A highly motivated self-starter
Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
Desired But Not Required Qualifications
Ten years of construction contracting experience
Three years of architect-engineer services contracting experience
