Job Description

We are looking for a

Structural Engineer

with a minimum 3 years of experience for our LA - Woodland Hills office, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. The successful individual will be a licensed engineer with solid experience in the design of steel, concrete, and wood commercial/institutional buildings.

In This Role You Will:

Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects with oversight, mentoring, and training

Collaborate with project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to execute structural designs

Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design

Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications

Work closely with the Department Manager and other engineers to support the execution of projects.

Compensation and Benefits

Approximate Base Salary - $90,000 - $115,000+ based on experience

Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate

Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance

Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)

401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering

EIT or PE registration in any state

Three or more years of experience with design of concrete, steel, or timber structures

Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight

Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

PE registration in CA

M.S. degree in Structural Engineering or related field

Interest in project management

Experience with DSA and OSHPD

Experience with 3D modeling software (ETABS, RISA, SAFE)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Must be a self-starter who is able to see the big picture and connect the vision of the company with his/her job, be persistent, and follow through in a consistent manner

Passionate about the client or pursuit and takes ownership of his/her work

Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities)

Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
