Description
Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Fabricator. Reporting to the Machine & Fabrication Supervisor, this role will be responsible for operating fabrication machines such as press brakes, rolls, shears, grinders, drill presses, saws, and punch presses.
Responsibilities:
Operate fabricating machines such as press brakes, rolls, shears, grinders, drill presses, saws, and punch presses
Use hand tools to bend, cut and form components
Locate and mark work piece bending and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness and other component specifications
Ability to read and understand simple blueprints
Consistent inspection of parts for accuracy and quality and to ensure that they conform to specifications
Package or crate parts for shipment
Required Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years general fabrication experience or a successful graduate of any recognized apprenticeship, or vocational program
Basic math skills
Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
Operate various material-moving equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack, gantry cranes, etc
Use of a variety of measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, etc
Working knowledge of basic computer functions
Welding experience is a plus
