You will serve as a SHIPS SYSTEMS INSPECTOR SUPERVISOR I in the Non-Nuclear Inspection Branch (Code 133.1) in the Non-Nuclear Division (Code 133), of the Quality Assurance Office (Code 130), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

- Ability to possess knowledge of naval shipyard repair and overhaul specifications of SUBSAFE, ReEntry, Level One, QA forms, Surveillances, Controlled Assembly, nuclear interface, and non-nuclear systems.
- Ability to serve as the Primary QA representative assigned to the project team to supervise, direct, and coordinate inspection operations for mechanical, electrical, and/or structural inspectors and leaders to determine SUBSAFE, Level One, and nuclear interface work and ensure appropriate controls are carried out as required to perform inspections.
- Ability to coordinate non-nuclear inspection services with the project team, multiple zone managers, and General Foreman II for work aboard ships and in-shop to efficiently and effectively utilize inspection resources.
- Ability to determine the numbers and types of inspectors needed to accomplish assigned work.
- Ability to manage these resources to meet changing needs and emergent work.
