About this job:
Administers and manages the District's purchasing card program, serving as a central point of contact for the District card program and as an escalation resource for all cardholders. Establishes and delivers on additional strategic sourcing projects and provides oversight for department budget and metrics. Ensures that company policies and procedures are followed at all times.

What You'll Do:
- Evaluates and analyzes vendor spend; identifies and manages key vendors that buyers will engage to put contracts in place and manage spend.
- Reviews operating practices and procedures and recommends improvements to facilitate a more efficient and effective process.
- Conducts analyses, prepares monthly reports and provides recommendations related to sourcing related activities, supplier information and market/industry data.
- Serves as key lead for sourcing projects (e.g., printer program, contracts, technology procurement) to ensure progress, milestone achievement, stakeholder involvement, development of training materials and communication for pilots and roll-out.
- Acts as point person on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system projects (e.g., contract management and strategic sourcing solicitations).
- Performs analysis of buyer workloads to balance and ensure high visibility commodities are being managed.
- Responsible for budget creation and management.
- Develops, implements and maintains training materials and communications to establish consistency and best practices; interacts with staff and vendors to ensure a fair, transparent program exists; maintains website information to assist cardholders to manage their accounts effectively and delivers customer service to our cardholders.
- Develops sourcing strategies that align directly with District goals (including diversity and environmental requirements).
- May manage one or two direct reports that serve in supporting program operations and department projects.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in managing complex and high-value purchasing, accounts payables, project management or finance initiatives.
- Experience working with vendors, administrators, and school staff (e.g., principals, staff) required.
- Experience with budget and metric creation and reporting.
- Robust understanding of purchasing card programs, contracts, technology, and preferable electronic payables programs.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster effective relationships with district staff, schools, and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals, establish priorities, and organize resources.
- Ability to multi-task without compromising integrity or fidelity.
- Ability to display a sense of urgency as appropriate when working with internal / external customers.
- High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated leadership in enforcing compliance with expense reporting policies.
- Experience and proficiency with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office products and/or Project Management Software (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Lawson, Oracle or other Enterprise Resource Planning System, preferred.
