The superintendent leads, directs, and coordinates the work of subcontractors and GWM trade labor in the field for various types of projects and is responsible for the successful completion and safety of the overall project. The right candidate will be able to work outside normal working hours in order to limit disruptions to the tenants in occupied buildings and to facilitate fast paced, short duration construction schedules.
Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, logistics, quality control, and trade staffing levels.

Direct and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and site logistics to ensure smooth project execution.

Develop, manage, and maintain the overall project schedule; determine sequencing of work and implement strategies to maintain or recover schedule milestones.

Ensure work is performed in strict compliance with approved plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Manage and enforce the site-specific safety plan; ensure full compliance with company standards and applicable OSHA regulations.

Lead daily jobsite operations including safety meetings, coordination meetings, and site walks.

Communicate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors regarding field conditions and resolve conflicts or issues as they arise.

Conduct and oversee project inspections, system startups, commissioning, punch lists, training, and final project turnover.

Monitor and maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure quality assurance across all phases of the project.

Keep accurate and detailed daily field reports, logs, and site documentation, including RFIs, inspection reports, and progress updates.

Serve as the primary point of contact on-site, fostering a professional and solution-oriented environment among subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Required Skills
- 10 years of construction related experience
- 5+ years as a Construction Superintendent
- In-depth knowledge of building systems, commercial construction means and methods, and safety protocols
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and submittals
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills
- Proficient in construction management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, P6, etc.)
- Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel to job sites and work extended hours as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proven track record of satisfied owners and architects
