Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime. This includes equipment across all Lid Operations, Coating Operations, Lithography Operations, as well as facility systems such as fans, chillers, restrooms, and general building maintenance. This role requires a strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, welding, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and die repair. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a thorough understanding of all manufacturing and facility equipment, including Lid, Coating, and Lithography operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) tasks in a timely and efficient manner, collaborating with Coater and Lithography departments as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and die maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized inventory of spare parts under the direction of the Maintenance Lead.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts as needed to complete assigned work safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
• Adhere to all hazardous and universal waste handling, storage, and disposal regulations per state and federal guidelines.
• Follow all safety protocols, including company-specific policies and industry standards such as SQF and internal GMPs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.
• Experience with industrial controls, including PLC troubleshooting/programming and variable frequency drives (VFDs), is required.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, welding, plumbing, carpentry, and die repair.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining PLC systems and VFDs.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and control schematics.
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools and software related to industrial automation.
• Ability to operate forklifts and lifts safely.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety guidelines, and operating instructions in English.
• Capable of writing clear and concise maintenance reports and communications.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Able to compute percentages and interpret charts or graphs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram instructions and adapt to changing priorities.

Schedule: Night Shift

Pay: $28-36/hour depending on experience
