As a Welder you will be responsible for completing proper measures, cuts and welds on components and assemblies.
Currently there is an opening for a Welder in our Panels department on 1st shift (6:30a - 2:30p. Monday - Friday) .
Panels Welder: Starting at $20.29/hr. on 1st shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather materials and supplies as needed.
- Verify correct type, quality, color, and size of components.
- Adjust gauges and settings on welder.
- Measure, cut, sand, machine, and weld components per work order, blueprint, or instructions.
- Maintain welder and related equipment in good working order.
- Completes necessary paperwork.
- Fill out DMN .
- Will be operating a 4-point TIG welder.
- Assist other departments as necessary.
- Read work orders and follow instructions.
- Frequently asks production area if they need help.
- Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
- Participate in improving our products, processes, equipment, and methods.
- Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
- Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong attention to detail
- TIG welding basic skills required.
- Aluminum TIG Welding skills preferred.
- Must be able to create a bead and hold a stick.
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work overtime.
Additional Requirements :
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
