Your Team, Your Impact
As an Analog IC Design Staff Engineer with Marvell, youll be a member of the Central Engineering business group. If you picture Marvell as a wheel, Central Engineering is the center hub providing IP to be used by all the other spokes on that wheel, including Automotive, Storage, Security, and Networking. Youll be part of a small analog team making a big impact on this organization. Additionally, Marvell has the perfect size and scale for you to learn several aspects of engineering that will be new to you, but also have the time and freedom to dive deep into the details of your specialization on most projects. What You Can Expect
Design and develop high-speed and low-power analog mixed-signal circuits in advanced CMOS technologies for highly sophisticated CMOS transceivers products.
Design of analog mixed-signal blocks such as ADC, DAC, PLL, DLL, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, CDRs etc. to meet key performance targets.
Supervise and guide layout activities to ensure design accuracy and performance.
Create behavioral models and validate against transistor-level analog designs.
Collaborate with design teams to review specifications and develop comprehensive AMS verification plans.
Create and maintain IP-level AMS testbenches.
Write test stimuli, analyze waveforms and simulation results, and compare them with expected behavior and debug failures.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of design processes and results.
Lab debug to characterize, debug and validate designs.
What We're Looking For
Solid analog mixed signal design knowledge in advanced CMOS technologies, including trade-offs and optimization techniques for performance and power efficiency.
Hands-on experience in designing analog mixed signal circuits, specifically in one or more of the following areas: ADC, DAC, RX, TX, PLLs, Filters, clock generation and distribution circuits, Bandgap bias circuits, and voltage regulators.
Familiarity with Cadence design tools, including Virtuoso and Xcelium.
Proven experience in mixed-signal verification and real-number modeling of AMS systems preferred.
Proficiency in SystemVerilog, real-number modeling, and Verilog-AMS.
Scripting skills in languages such as Python or Perl.
Familiarity with signal processing concepts and tools like Python or MATLAB.
Lab testing skills to evaluate the prototype unit to the design specification.
MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2+ years of experience.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
120,200 - 177,930, $ per annumThe successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
