Federal Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Federal Construction Superintendent to oversee a significant construction project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management and a proven track record as a Superintendent on projects of similar size and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the construction project at Kings Bay naval base, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
• Interpret critical path schedules and construction drawings accurately to guide project execution.
• Identify hazards and ensure safety compliance in accordance with EM 385-1-1 requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage project resources effectively.
• Maintain communication with the Contracting Officer and provide proof of qualifications if requested.
• Ensure that duties of the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and Quality Control Manager (QCM) are performed by separate individuals.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years as a Superintendent on projects of similar size and complexity.
• Proficiency in interpreting critical path schedules and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with the requirements of EM 385-1-1.
• Strong experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.

• Experience in construction supervision, subcontractor management, and project management.
• Active clearance is required for project involvement.

The work environment is on-site management at Kings Bay naval base for the Trolley Rails project. The role requires active clearance and involves direct interaction with construction teams and project stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
