JOB SUMMARY

Veliz Construction is seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent to thrive in a fast-paced, high demand construction environment. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented leader who is passionate about construction and eager to grow within our company. The ideal candidate will have extensive construction experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality projects. RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain Plan Percent Complete (PPC) and Two-Week Look-Ahead schedules

Lead LEAN construction Pull Sessions with subcontractors

Foster strong relationships with owners, teams, and stakeholders to ensure an exceptional client experience

Conduct regular meetings with field workers and subcontractors for coordination and direction

Maintain detailed documentation of constructability issues, potential design conflict, and clarifications

Participate in pre-job planning and collaborate with clients and project managers

Monitor, analyze, and track project budgets to maintain accurate cost records

Gain in-depth knowledge of plans, specifications, and shop drawings

Ensure timely procurement and availability of necessary materials and equipment

Provide leadership and guidance to field workers and subcontractors, ensuring project execution excellence

Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and inefficiencies

Inspect work quality to confirm compliance with contract and safety requirements

Coordinate field personnel needs with the General Superintendent

Uphold company policies, procedures, and safety standards, including disciplinary documentation and Lean onboarding

Promote a culture of safety, emphasizing an accident-free work environment

Submit accurate and timely timesheets and field receipts from vendors/subcontractors

Participate in branch operations meetings as required

Maintain a clean, safe. and secure job site

QUALIFICATIONS

8-10 years of proven and successful experience in the construction industry

Extensive interior renovation experience required

Strong knowledge of construction principles and practices

Experience working with federal customers preferred

U.S. Security clearance required

Proven ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors

Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Excellent leadership, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills

Ability to learn and apply LEAN Construction principles

OSHA 30 certifications required

Willingness to travel as needed

Experience with Job Order Contract (JOC) project deliveries
