Electrical Engineer

An Electrical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company preferably in the Omaha, NE area - not required. This position will work on projects including engineering and design of data centers and other mission-critical facilities. Remote work.

responsibilities:
Engineering & Design:

• Design medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution.
  
  
• Focus on engineering and design for data centers and other mission-critical facilities.
  
  
• Design for power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems.
  
  
• Perform retrofit designs for existing building systems.

Collaboration & Quality:

• Work within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
  
  
• Contribute to team technical collaboration and perform quality reviews of design packages.
  
  
• Assist directly with other parts of the design process.

Client & Project Interaction: Interact directly with clients, owners, and contractors to assist with on-site construction.

Management & Development:

• Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule for projects.
  
  
• Engage in mentorship and other career development opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  
  
• Experience: 3-6 years of experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
  
  
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
  
  
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code - NEC).

Soft Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

• Data center facility design experience.
  
  
• Experience in the design of large projects on greenfield sites.

Skills:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
  
• Forward-thinking, eager to learn, and driven to broaden knowledge.
