A well-established environmental containment and piping solutions provider is seeking a Lead McElroy Mechanic to join their Houston team. This hands-on leadership role is available due to recent staffing changes and will be instrumental in rebuilding morale, strengthening processes, and ensuring shop operations run efficiently.

Focus Includes:

Performing cradle-to-grave repairs and preventative maintenance on McElroy fusion equipment, shop machinery, and fleet vehicles

Leading and mentoring a small team of mechanics to restore morale and drive accountability

Conducting inspections, diagnostics, and hands-on repairs to maintain equipment reliability

Logging maintenance and service records; ensuring proper equipment check-in/check-out processes

Collaborating with management to align equipment readiness with project schedules

Providing clients with technical consultation and preventative maintenance guidance

Supporting departmental organization, process improvement, and safety initiatives
Top consideration given to candidates with:

Valid McElroy Certification (required)

3+ years of hands-on mechanical repair and maintenance experience

Proven leadership or team lead experience in a shop or field environment

High school diploma or equivalent

Clean driving record

TWIC card, or ability to obtain

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Familiarity with common mechanics tools, diagnostic equipment, and service documentation
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods, and lift up to 45 lbs

Ability to work in shop and field environments, including occasional travel (less than 5%)

May involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, high heat, or fumes/dust

Must maintain a valid drivers license and pass pre-employment, post-employment, and random drug screenings

Willingness to work overtime, including some Saturdays, as needed
