Job Duties :

  • As an Associate Project Engineer/Manager in San Diego, CA, you will have an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team on meaningful, landmark projects in the San Diego region.

  • Supervision of engineering designers (including daily assignments of work, review of work, and quality control)

  • Management of project schedules and budgets

  • Preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work

Qualifications:

  • A BSCE, plus a minimum of six (6) years of public works experience or the equivalent of ten (10) years of total work experience.

  • California PE Registration preferred.

  • Independent thought and decision-making abilities

  • Possess management and supervisory skills

  • Be adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients and public agency personnel as well as in-house professional peers.

  • Requires extensive experience and demonstrated engineering abilities in all aspects of public works infrastructure projects and in interacting comfortably and productively with clients and public agencies.

  • Position generally requires extensive experience and demonstrated engineering abilities in all aspects of public works infrastructure projects

  • Significant experience in client and public-agency interactions

  • Knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures in the State of CA and the region is strongly preferred.

  • Technical experience in the following:

    • Public agencies, capital improvement projects, design-build projects, pipeline projects, preliminary engineering design studies (incorporating assessment and consideration of site constraints and potential regulatory issues)

    • Preparation/processing of public works, improvement plans and specifications

    • Development/preparation/processing of design-build documents for contractor clients and public agency owners.
