ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the Electrical Division team, including Project Managers, Lead Technicians, and Apprentices, ensuring alignment with company goals and performance standards.
  • Oversee project execution and account management, maintaining responsibility for profit and loss, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collections in accordance with company terms, targeting aging reduction to 30 days or less.
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling to support accurate and prompt invoicing for electrical contracts, repairs, and remodels.
  • Mentor and develop team members by providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance skillsets and promote growth.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with Human Resources to maintain accurate personnel records.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for new business and expanding existing accounts.
  • Negotiate client contracts, establish project timelines, and ensure deliverables are met with high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and other departments to meet client needs and maximize profitability through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Prepare and present reports on account progress, team goals, and quarterly initiatives for internal stakeholders and strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and client expectations across all projects and engagements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical industry management, including direct supervision of teams and project oversight.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage personnel, delegate responsibilities, and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong background in electrical systems, project management, and client account management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with project tracking tools.
  • Solid understanding of profit and loss principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present, negotiate, and build lasting client relationships.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple client accounts and project timelines.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals and delivering client-focused solutions.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required.
  • Valid driver’s license required; electrical license is a plus.

TRAVEL

This position may require up to 50% local travel to meet customers, attend meetings, entertain, etc.
