Description
The R&D Engineering Techs provides technical support to the Engineering functional groups.
2ND SHIFT (230-1100)
The technician will need to understand and perform tasks from written and verbal requirements. Build, modify, install, HVAC units to be used in psychrometric testing with support from mechanics, or decommission units after testing. Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
General skills we ask for from technicians:
EPA 608 Universal Certification Required
Install thermocouples and other sensors in test units
Install units in psychrometric test rooms
Knowledge of HVAC systems at the component level
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Basic understanding of electrical wiring
Able to install delicate test instrumentation
Operate power and hand tools
Operate an overhead crane
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
The person in this position must have strong hands on mechanical aptitude. Must also be able to read and understand engineering drawings and models for the purposes of assembling units and modifying parts.
Individual must be able to work effectively with others and provide feedback and suggestions to the engineering staff.

Associates Degree in Technical Field. Will consider High School Diploma or GED if they have appropriate experience.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
