Geotechnical Engineer
Job Description

This position involves applying engineering methodologies and principles to provide geotechnical and related services. The role includes performing and leading subsurface investigations, conducting engineering analyses and calculations, designing and developing plans and specifications, and preparing and reviewing reports under the supervision of experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and lead subsurface investigations.
  • Conduct engineering analyses and calculations.
  • Design and develop plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and review reports for services provided.
  • Split time between fieldwork and report writing in the office.
Essential Skills
  • 5-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Background in geology.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • EIT certification.
  • Project management skills.
  • Comfortable working both in the field and in the office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Former field experience.
  • Management experience.
Work Environment

The work environment is a combination of fieldwork and office settings. The role requires managing sites and teams in the field, as well as writing reports in the office. This is a Contract position based out of Jessup, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $38.46/hr.
