Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and technically capable Project Manager who enjoys managing projects and supporting customers in the field. This role combines engineering and innovation with direct customer interaction, project coordination, and equipment support. You will work with a small, experienced team to build, install, and maintain advanced optical and electronic systems, taking ownership of key tasks from planning through service follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate field installation and service activities.
• Track project timelines, parts, and resource needs.
• Document work performed and provide clear follow-up.
• Write and improve procedures, checklists, and training materials.
• Work across departments to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
• Build and assemble electro-mechanical systems.
• Design and specify components and subsystems.
• Support product development and design innovation.
• Develop software using OpenCV, .NET, etc. (if within skill set).
• Perform system and prototype testing.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials and interpret engineering documents (schematics, layouts, etc.).
• Install and commission equipment at customer sites (travel up to 40%).
• Perform on-site troubleshooting and calibration.
• Respond to service requests, including remote support and spare parts coordination.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Support purchasing and receiving of parts.
• Engage in lean/continuous improvement activities.
• Contribute wherever needed to help the team meet its goals.

• Project management experience.
• Mechanical skills.
• Associate degree or higher in Project Management.
• Experience with Jira.
• 24 years of experience in a project management role.
• 2-4 years of experience in a technical or engineering role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
• Energetic, professional, and team-oriented.

You will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. The role involves some travel to customer sites for equipment installation and commissioning. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in hands-on technical work. A professional and team-oriented attitude is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
