Assistant Carpenter/Driver/Organizer

We are a small Upstate construction company seeking someone with multiple skills and experience to fill a newly created position. To qualify, you must have experience in the following areas:

Basic carpentry
Excellent driving skills (including towing trailers)
Organizing tools, supplies, etc
Cleaning trucks and trailers

You must be fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

This job requires a strong work ethic, great people skills, maturity, and the ability to shift from one task to another as needed. We seek someone who can make independent decisions; yet, knows when to call for guidance. This job requires physical agility. You should be able to lift 60-pound bags of cement mix.

The job will include the following tasks:
Picking up building materials at our supplier and delivering them to a job site
Assisting a carpenter on a variety of building projects
Maintaining the organization of company trucks and trailers (one pickup truck, one van, one SUV, one large cargo trailer, and one small cargo trailer)
Maintaining the organization of a small workshop and warehouse
Managing maintenance of all company vehicles
Other duties that contribute to the overall success of the company

We are a tobacco free company. No drugs (including marijuana) and no alcohol usage while working. Steel-toed shoes are required for safety reasons. No sleeveless shirts and no cut off shorts.

We are based in Spartanburg.
