Mechanical Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to prepare detailed engineering diagrams for machinery, manufactured products, and mechanical equipment. Your precision and technical expertise will play a critical role in the design and manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls using AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, layout, and resolve component or system issues.

• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, and data to refine designs and manufacturing processes.

• Use mathematical formulas and CAD tools to create accurate and detailed specifications.

• Incorporate instructions, comments, and revisions to address operational or production challenges.

• Create schematic, orthographic, and angled views illustrating component relationships and system functions.

• Prepare technical illustrations for reference manuals detailing operation and maintenance.

• Verify material dimensions and assign identification numbers for production tracking.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in drafting/design or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical drafting and design.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; experience with 3D SolidWorks highly valued.

• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, material handling equipment, and grain systems.

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in MS Office applications.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
