Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux-core welding to high-quality standards.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and welding symbols.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components.
- Conduct fit-ups and alignments prior to welding.
- Inspect your own work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Assist with training and guiding junior welders.
- Maintain welding equipment in good working order.
- Follow all safety protocols and quality procedures.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of welding/fabrication experience.
- Ability to pass weld tests in multiple positions.
- Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills.
- Experience with multiple welding processes.
- Welding certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry up to 50 pounds (e.g., survey equipment) for extended periods.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including hard hat, safety vest, and steel-toe boots.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to construction site conditions including noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
- Fast-paced, collaborative environment with frequent travel to job sites.
