Your Role at KIK
As a Chemical Operator-2nd shift, you will manage the loading and unloading of chlorine rail cars and perform quality checks. This is a 2nd shift role, Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm CST and OT as required (Saturdays 2-10pm). The pay for this role is $24/hr.
What You'll Be Doing
Candidate must be able to perform the duties of a chemical operator in the manufacturing of Bleach in a plant setting.
Manage the loading and unloading of Chlorine Rail Cars (Hazwoper Certification)
Perform quality checks such as titration, filter testing, and water hardness testing on the product batched.
Manage raw material via forklift truck.
Perform minor mechanical repairs (gasket replacements, processing piping PM etc.) in the area
Complete appropriate paperwork, communicate via email shift status
Carefully follow guidelines for wastewater treatment and disposal of wastewater.
Comply with all OSHA Hazard Materials Procedures to safely handle chemicals
Follow Safety/GMP guidelines
Participate in the site emergency response team

What You'll Bring
1+ years hand on experience with hazardous liquid chemical plant processing.
Forklift experience preferred; willing to train
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, math skills in addition to advanced computer skills (Word/Excel).
Ability to work safely, carefully and follow strict guidelines.
Must pass pre-employment Drug Screen and Background check
Must be able to work around unpleasant odors and manage with a variety of chemicals and chemical products.
Working in non-temperature-controlled environment
Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location.
Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations.
Be able to wear full face respirator as necessary
Must be able to lift 45lbs.
Must be able to work overtime where necessary.
