Responsibilities
- Perform splicing and termination of fiber optic cables in various environments.
- Test and troubleshoot fiber optic systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including splicing diagrams and test results.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to plan and execute fiber optic installation projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working on-site and handling equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repair on existing fiber optic networks as needed.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in fiber optic technology.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in telecommunications preferred.
- Proven experience in fiber optic splicing and installation in a telecommunications environment.
- Strong understanding of optical networks and fiber optic components.
- Proficient in using fiber optic test equipment, such as OTDR and power meters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
