Job Overview
T-Mobile is building the future of in-store retail media - bringing together our network, proprietary hardware, and deep retail partnerships to power smarter, more connected shopper experiences. We're helping retailers unlock new revenue streams, enabling advertisers to reach consumers in high-intent moments at the point of purchase, and - most importantly - creating exceptional in-store experiences for customers. Our retail media team sits at the center of this transformation, driving growth through innovation, collaboration, and bold execution.
We're looking for a strategic and operationally strong Business Development Manager to support two critical efforts: managing our early-stage business development pipeline with retailers, and helping bring a new T-Mobile-connected revenue stream to market. In this role, you'll work directly with the General Manager of the business, helping drive partner engagement, internal alignment, and go-to-market readiness. If you're someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can move between external-facing work and internal execution - we want to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Manage our early-stage business development pipeline with major U.S. retailers.
- Prepare executive briefing materials on prospective partners, including attendee insights and relevant company context.
- Conduct structured research to inform partner targeting, strategy development, and internal decision-making.
- Drive internal coordination to help launch a new revenue stream built on proprietary T-Mobile hardware - working across Finance, Legal, TFB, Billing, and more.
- Collaborate on early business case development - contributing to financial models, pressure-testing assumptions, and applying strong commercial instincts to help shape deal strategy and product structure.
- Keep stakeholders aligned, workstreams unblocked, and timelines on track - all while staying flexible in a fast-evolving environment.
- Be a trusted right hand to the GM leading this business - connecting dots, surfacing risks, and stepping in where needed.
- Develop and deliver executive-ready presentations - synthesizing complex information clearly for senior internal and external stakeholders.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Marketing, Finance or related field (Required)
- 3+ years of experience in business development, account development, partnerships, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage early-stage partner pipelines - bringing structure, insight, and follow-through to every touchpoint.
- Experience preparing executive-ready presentations and briefing materials - able to distill complex topics into clear, concise, and strategic communication.
- Comfortable speaking with and presenting to senior leaders, both internally and externally.
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams like Legal, Finance, Sales, or Product.
- Experience developing or contributing to business cases or financial models.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills - able to navigate ambiguity and connect dots across multiple workstreams.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in retail (store operations, merchandising, vendor/supplier relationships) a plus.
- Background in launching new products or revenue streams.
- Consulting, corporate strategy, or strategic ops experience.
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
