What You’ll Do in This Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Chelsea Retirement Communities. In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping our buildings, grounds, and equipment in top condition to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our residents, their families, and our team members. From routine upkeep to timely repairs, you will play a vital role in maintaining the comfort and safety of our community. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to meeting all safety and regulatory standards while delivering exceptional service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, systems, and buildings.
- Perform routine maintenance, replacement or repair within the community to include plumbing, plaster, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, HVAC, and other infrastructure.
- Conduct cleaning and upkeep of HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and other infrastructure.
- Apartment refresh: Paint. Insure all electrical/plumbing is working correctly. Ensure all appliances are working to specs.
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a senior living or residential community setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Position requires a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
