TIG Welder Niagara Falls, NY | Contract Position | Pay: $25-30+/hr (based on interview and experience) Job Description We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with a minimum of 2 years of relevant welding experience (5 years preferred). The ideal candidate will operate manual welders to TIG weld components such as aluminum, stainless steel, cast, and cupronickelalways ensuring safety and precision. Follow verbal instructions from manufacturing leadership to meet product specifications. Perform tack-welds to join metal work pieces at specified distances. Inspect and document quality of finished work pieces. Use safety tools and devices during welding operations. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Participate in cross-training and adapt to alternate assignments. Follow all company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficient in TIG welding, especially with aluminum and stainless steel. Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools. Strong blueprint reading abilities. Experience welding various materials: aluminum, stainless, cast, cupronickel. Ability to set up and operate welding machines. Additional Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or technical school diploma preferred. 3+ years of related experience and/or training required. Must pass a weld test. Solid math skills for welding processes. Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail. Team-oriented and open to cross-training. Flexible to work any shift and weekends as needed.
