What we are looking for

We are looking for a Plant Operater will perform power plant and/or gas processing plant operations. They will operate and maintains mechanical gas recovery/process equipment under general supervision. May supervise or otherwise be assisted by Laborers, Equipment Operators, Field Technicians, Foreman, or Superintendents. They will report to the Project Manager, Operations Manager and/or Project Superintendent.

  • Responsible for proper operation, maintenance, and repair of gas recovery/process equipment including engines, compressors, filters, pumps, blowers, strippers, generators, flares, sumps, automatic/manual control valves, etc.
  • Install, repair, and maintain mechanical regulating and controlling devices, such as electric motors, power generating engines, gas regulators, thermostats, safety and flow valves, and other mechanical governors.
  • Controls, operates, and maintains machinery to generate electric power.
  • Maintains meters, gauges, and recording instrument charts to verify specified temperature, pressure, and flow of gas/liquids through process system.
  • Observes operation of equipment to detect malfunctions.
  • Records instrument readings and operational changes in daily operation logs.
Qualifications
  • Two to five years mechanical plant operation and maintenance.
  • Advanced technical skills related to mechanical and electrical equipment operation and maintenance.
  • 40 hour Health & Safety, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, Confined Space Entry, and Trench Excavation Safety training; high school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical plans and specifications.
  • Meet physical requirements for driving (pick-up truck), walking inspection of improved and unimproved property, lifting and carrying equipment/mechanical components (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), carrying and climbing ladders, operating electrical tools (drills, saws, etc.), using hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.) and providing services under varying weather conditions.
