SUMMARY:

The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for leading the companys procurement, planning, and materials management functions to ensure reliable supply, accurate scheduling, and efficient flow of materials in support of production and customer requirements. This role oversees supplier relationships and ensures compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards while driving cost control and process improvement initiatives. As a key leader of the Support Operations team, the Procurement Supervisor develops and coaches staff, balances material availability with production capacity, and ensures the accuracy of ERP-driven planning, inventory, and work orders. The position requires a hands-on leader who can align supply chain performance with organizational goals, customer commitments, and continuous improvement objectives.

Position: Full-time

Pay: $32.69 to $38.46/ hour

  • Teledoc Health Coverage (if working ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

    • Oversee Procurement, Planning & Scheduling: Leads the Planning, Quoting, Purchasing, and Materials functions to ensure accurate forecasting, timely procurement, and efficient production scheduling. Balances material availability to meet customer demand.
    • Manage Supplier Relationships & Material Flow: Builds and maintains a robust supply chain through strong vendor relationships, accurate forecasting, and effective negotiation. Ensures uninterrupted material flow from suppliers to production.
    • Oversee Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Control: Directs the flow of goods into, within, and out of the facility, ensuring accurate receiving, storage, staging, and shipment of all materials and finished products. Maintains ERP accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation.
    • Lead Quoting & Production Work Order Accuracy: Oversees the conversion of customer RFQs and POs into accurate production work orders that reflect correct bill of materials, routing, and resource requirements. Ensures orders are aligned with available capacity and scheduled to meet delivery commitments without overloading production.
    • Drive Process Improvement & Cost Control in Materials Management: Identifies and implements efficiency improvements across the procurement and materials functions, reducing waste, lead times, and costs.
    • Lead & Develop the Materials and Customer Support Team (LMA): Manages, coaches, and holds department staff accountable. Ensures cross-training, team health, and alignment with company's Core Values.
    • Ensure Quality & Compliance in Materials Functions: Ensures procurement and materials processes comply with AS9100, ISO 9000, and customer-specific requirements, including documentation, traceability, and certifications.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provides day-to-day oversight of department operations, including workload assignment, scheduling, and shift coverage to ensure inspection and activities are effectively supported.
    • Conducts regular performance evaluations, sets expectations, and provides coaching and development plans to drive continuous improvement.
    • Handles disciplinary actions, corrective counseling, and terminations per company policies.
    • Ensure the team is properly trained, equipped, and aligned with departmental and organizational goals.
    • Monitors team productivity, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.
    • Fosters a collaborative, accountable, and quality-driven team culture.
    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 710 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management within an aerospace or complex manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
    • Strong background in procurement and planning activities, including BOM management, MRP/ERP systems, forecasting, and inventory optimization.
    • In-depth knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards, with hands-on experience maintaining compliance in procurement and materials functions.
    • Experience implementing process improvements and Lean/Continuous Improvement practices in supply chain or procurement operations.
    • Proven ability to develop, coach, and lead high-performing teams across procurement, planning, and materials functions.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    • Valid Washington State Drivers License Required.
    • Requirement to pass Background check in accordance with Customer Guidelines and Requirements.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
    • Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management), or PMP (Project Management Professional) are highly desirable.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
    • Ability to interpret technical documents, such as blueprints, work instructions, procedures, and quality specifications.
    • Must communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing, with internal teams, customers, vendors, and auditors.

    • Compliance with safety protocols is essential, and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times in designated areas.
