Temporary Real Estate Project Manager
$40 $48/hour | 36 Month Contract | Regional Travel Required (up to 60%)
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Project Manager to lead the delivery of office buildouts, closures, renovations, and transitions across a global commercial real estate portfolio. This role is highly dynamic and hands-on, requiring exceptional cross-functional coordination, construction oversight, and vendor management skills.
?? Key Responsibilities
Construction & Portfolio Management
Drive full lifecycle delivery of office buildouts, retrofits, decommissions, and workplace renovations
Partner with external PM firms to manage design, scheduling, permitting, budgeting, compliance, and construction
Coordinate internal stakeholders (Workplace, Security, IT, Communications) from planning through occupancy
Conduct project close-out processes (punch lists, warranties, O&M manuals, documentation, asset tagging)
Oversee final invoicing, contract closure, and vendor deliverables
Project & Contract Oversight
Develop and manage project budgets and schedules; track bids and change orders
Support vendor selection, contract negotiations, SOW development, and performance evaluation
Initiate and track purchase orders; ensure procurement compliance
Assist with administration of service contracts, renewals, amendments, and change orders
Cross-Functional Integration
Serve as primary bridge between construction execution and operational readiness teams
Ensure seamless transition from project delivery to day-to-day workplace operations
Support rollout of scalable tools, processes, and reporting frameworks
Real Estate Data & Lease Administration Support
Assist in due diligence for new sites and monitor portfolio lease data (square footage, expirations, renewals, etc.)
Maintain occupancy metrics and space planning data (headcount ratios, utilization)
Interact with landlords and brokers regarding notices, maintenance, lease terms, and pipeline tracking
? Basic Qualifications
Bachelors in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities, or related field
5+ years of experience overseeing corporate real estate, construction, or workplace projects
Proven track record managing multiple buildouts/renovations with budget accountability
Strong collaboration skills with Workplace, Security, IT, and Finance
Experience managing schedules, contracts, and construction vendor teams
Proficiency with Slack and Google Workspace
? Preferred Qualifications
7+ years in construction/facilities delivering complex projects
Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM platforms, MS Project or Primavera
Expertise in change order management, commissioning, or capital planning
