You will be the Mechanical Design Engineering Lead for the Advanced Programs group. Our team is responsible for designing, building, and testing a demonstration booster assembly that propels a customer-supplied payload to high speeds and enables clean separation.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical design and development of the demonstration booster assembly, including the design of a separation system and coordination with other engineering disciplines and suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include:
Creo design and modeling
Coordinating with team members on concept design and development
Supporting demonstration test vehicle configuration documentation, assembly, and integration
Collaborating with other engineering disciplines and suppliers

This position is in Grand Prairie, TX.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
The successful candidate must demonstrate innovative approaches to resolve difficult problems, both with design issues that are found as well as overcoming challenges with testing on a tight timeline. The candidate will create and/or edit detailed component and subsystem designs release CREO models following Model Based Definition practices. The candidate must work onsite greater than 50% of the time with long stretches of working onsite full time.

The successful candidate must demonstrate highly innovative approaches to resolve difficult design issues and will be responsible for creation detailed component and subsystem concept designs and mature those designs to released CREO models and/or drawings.

Candidate must have ProE CREO experience and knowledge of Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool navigation. The candidate must also be proficient with Microsoft Office tools. Prior experience working air vehicle development, fabrication and development testing in lab environments as well as Model Based Design is highly desired.

Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.Experience in Aerospace and Defense missile design and development
