Roles & Responsibilities:
Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Perform accurate quantity take-offs for earthwork, utilities, paving, concrete, and other civil construction scopes.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Analyze historical data, unit costs, and production rates to develop accurate estimates.
Assist with bid strategy, proposal preparation, and presentation.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure seamless project handoffs.
Stay current on market trends, labor, and material costs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil estimating (earthwork, sitework, utilities, infrastructure, or heavy construction).
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and industry standards.
Proficiency with estimating software (such as HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek, Bluebeam, or similar).
Advanced skills in MS Excel and ability to work with digital take-off tools.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Valid Drivers License.
