Electrical Project Manager
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Electrical Project Manager who is a proactive, strategic thinker with a passion for building complex projects the right way. This role involves managing multiple large-scale commercial electrical projects simultaneously, ensuring successful project execution by controlling costs, managing risk, and aligning timelines and materials with client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage electrical construction projects from pre-construction through close-out, each valued at $5 million or more.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate and order all necessary materials, ensuring just-in-time delivery and minimizing delays.
  • Collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks to prevent schedule delays and cost overruns.
  • Proactively handle change orders by negotiating, documenting, and executing in accordance with project goals and contracts.
  • Monitor job progress, enforce safety protocols, and maintain adherence to project specifications and local codes.
  • Lead project meetings, generate reports, and provide clear communication to stakeholders at all levels.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical project management with direct oversight of projects exceeding $10 million.
  • Deep understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and codes.
  • Expertise in risk management, change order negotiation, and material procurement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a team-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • ConEst and AutoCAD knowledge are preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
