A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As an Optics Fabricator at MKS you will partner with Engineering to develop and support the fabrication of optical materials. In this role, you will report to the Optics Fabrication Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Running multiple manual spindles to polish optical materials such as CaF2, Fusilica, BK7, etc.
- Making pitch laps and cutting pitch laps for desired optical corrections.
- Testing optical parts using Interferometers, Zygos, NuView to hold metrology specs from engineering drawings.
- Performing SQ inspection.
- Reading and understanding engineering blueprints; understanding preparation and/or process routes.
Skills You Bring:
- Preferably 1+ years of related experience.
- Related experience in sizing, grinding, polishing, and fabricating optical materials using conventional and/or CNC methods.
- Preferably completion of high school, vocational training, or equivalent.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Working in a cleanroom environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay Range: $17.31 - 32.12 USD Hourly. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
