Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $ 26.00 +, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:
Oversee, on a year round basis, the day to day functions of the Base Operations staff to include: maintenance and improvement of all village common areas and elements, snow removal and heavy equipment operations, traffic control and wrecker operations, special event operations, and assigned construction project implementation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate the actions of the Base Operations staff in daily implementation of department functions and duties to include organization, initiation and execution of assigned tasks.
Assists with training of seasonal personnel in the following areas of responsibility: Base area maintenance functions, heavy equipment operation, wrecker operations, light equipment operations, tool maintenance procedures, general carpentry, light repairs, event procedures, and general construction procedures.
Provides operational supervision in the absence of the department supervisor to include project assignment and overseeing of Snow Removal and Landscaping Operations.
Performs all functions of Base Crew persons and Equipment Operations as appropriate . Maintains and communicates to staff all operational and safety standards for heavy equipment and base operations to ensure the reasonable safety of self, fellow employees, and the guests.
Oversees the repair, rebuilding, and maintenance of all village elements and portable fixtures to include: village signs, trash enclosures, ski racks, and benches. Performs daily light maintenance and repairs to all equipment, tools, and vehicles assigned to the department including coordination of major repairs and services with the Vehicle Maintenance Department.
Performs assigned record keeping to include the following: safety logs, work logs, and project logs.
Maintains effective inter- and intradepartmental communications and relations with company departments to ensure harmonious and effective operations.
Communicates to staff, company, department, and individual goals and policies.
Oversees implementation of strategies to achieve objectives .
Contributes to general care of the mountain, village, and corporate operations.

Basic Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to tolerate and adapt to ever changing Colorado weather.
Must be able to stay on feet for extended periods of time.
Must have a valid US Drivers license .
Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Experience and Special Skills:
Class A or B Colorado Commercial Driver License.
Advanced knowledge in the operation of heavy and light construction equipment.
Extensive knowledge in light and medium construction procedures with ability to interpret construction drawings.
Supervisory and leadership skills.
Strong guest relations skills.
