We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter with 3 years of hands-on experience in woodworking, construction, and repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, and assembling wooden structures, while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team on residential and/or commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions for construction and repair tasks.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials using hand and power tools.
Construct, install, and repair frameworks, furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, and other wooden fixtures.
Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Operate woodworking machinery and tools safely and maintain them in good condition.
Collaborate with other tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, etc.) to complete projects on time.
Inspect finished work for quality, making adjustments and repairs as necessary.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of professional carpentry experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Strong understanding of building materials, techniques, and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving and mathematical measurement skills.
Physical stamina and strength to handle materials, tools, and long hours on job sites.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Education & Certifications (Preferred but not required)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical training or apprenticeship in carpentry.
OSHA safety certification or equivalent is a plus.
