MIG Welder - Up to $28/hr

Job Description

Join a team with over 20 years of experience in fabricating and erecting a variety of products, including steel stairs, framing and decking, railings, fences, and custom design parts. We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to perform welding tasks with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on steel components according to specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.

  • Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials and settings.

  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

  • Operate grinders, cutters, and other metal fabrication tools.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of MIG welding experience.

  • Experience with welding on steel.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.

  • Ability to operate grinders and metal fabrication tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Own welding helmet and steel-toed boots.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate controlled machine shop, with first shift hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and some potential overtime on weekends. The position requires personal protective equipment, including a welding helmet and steel-toed boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
